Boise River Flood of 2017

Once Again, the Boise River Flooded

In June of 2017 the Boise River flooded once again. Water levels rose to near record amounts (since the late 90’s), and forced the closure of sections of the Greenbelt.

Fortunately now the water levels appear to be back to normal, and people can once again enjoy floating down the river (perhaps not as Winter nears…but next season anyway).

The floods are something that residents of the Greenbelt and surrounding areas have come to expect, but many are still caught unawares and as a result suffer damage to their homes and property. Unfortunately, water can cause extensive damage to your home and, if you don’t know what to look out for, lasting effects.
